Price reduced due to minor damage: Aluminum printing bed for Artillery Sidewinder X1 / X2
The Artillery Sidewinder X1 / X2 is without doubt one of the top 3D printers in the demanding hobby sector. Nevertheless, one weakness cannot be denied: the glass printing bed, which is not flat and also has an uneven heat distribution. Here, intolerable heat differences of up to 20 degrees are observed, which provide additional support for the two big "enemies" of 3D printing - lack of adhesion and warping. With our selected high-quality aluminium plate, you achieve a consistently stable temperature of the entire printing bed.
And megacool:
the plate is completely smooth, without annoying drillings. A printing foil could therefore also be glued directly onto it!
The Sidewinder X1 / X2 heating mat can be taken over: simply carefully remove it from the Sidewinder X1 / X2 glass printing bed, which has been preheated to 80 degrees (disconnect the printer from the power supply before!) and glue it to our aluminium plate.
The quality features in detail:
- High quality aluminum printing bed
- Cast aluminium plate finely milled and deburred on both sides
- Realisation without drillings and accompanying screwing, which can cause tensions. You also have the possibility to apply a printing foil directly
- The four fixing screws are glued to the cast aluminium plate with one of the strongest adhesives (temperature-resistant up to 315 degrees). Very important: There is no (!) drop in temperature at the four gluing points, unlike the original Artillery glass plate. This is due to the enormous thermal conductivity of aluminium and the small area bonding
- High accuracy of fit
- Very good heat distribution. The heat differences of up to 20 degrees known from the artillery glass plate are reduced enormously to only about 2-3 degrees over the entire aluminum printing bed
- M6 hole with thread in one of the corners for attaching a protective conductor (earthing)
- The Sidewinder's X1 / X2 heating mat and the four springs can be taken
- Sidewinder X1: An M3 slot stone for repositioning the end stop can be found in the spare parts supplied by Artillery
310 mm x 310 mm x 5 mm
approx. 1324 g including screws (1271 g "gross weight" plate)
Alloy: AlMg4,5Mn0,7
The corner of the plate, where the hole is located, has transport damage (see exemplary last picture). Otherwise, the plate is of the same quality as all the others. A complaint or exchange due to this damage is therefore not possible.
The print bed will only be finished after your purchase, therefore shipping will be delayed by 1 to 2 days.
Attention important warnings:
- Please do not fail to connect the cast aluminium plate with the protective earth conductor. Otherwise there is a danger of electric shock if the heating mat is defective!
- Conversion work on the printer is at your own risk
- All electrical work must be carried out and checked by a trained specialist
- No liability is accepted for damage caused by incorrect or improper installation
